Jurassic Certificate (USS Jurassic Special Award)In Amateur Radio award certificates are given out for a variety of activities ... working all 50 states, working all contenents, working all USA counties (that's a hard one), working all time zones, etc. Since the USS JURASSIC has two Amateur Radio stations (K8SSJ and VE7SSJ) in two countries (USA and CANADA), we decided to give out an award to anyone who makes contact with both stations. This has become known as the JURASSIC AWARD. To earn the JURASSIC AWARD, an amateur radio operator must make a valid contact with both USS JURASSIC stations. Any mode can be used, and any band can be used. The two contacts do not have to be on the same band or via the same mode. You must make a good contact and get the station call, name of the operator, and location. Then make our two QSL cards (eQSLs are acceptable) ... one for the K8SSJ contact, and one for the VE7SSJ contact. Send both QSL's to either the K8SSJ station, or to the VE7SSJ station listed below. Pick whichever station is the cheapest for you to send the QSLs to. Also, include a self-addressed 9 x 12 envelope with two first class stamps or the equivalent in IRC's. The addresses are:
All other countries can send the QSL's to either of the above addresses. Those who have received the JURASSIC AWARD CERTIFICATE
